The Photo Scanning Process
The process is quite straightforward as outlined below.
Place an order online
Look out your old photographs and count (or guess) how many photos you need scanned and then use our simple order system to place your order. We accept all major credit/debit cards. A 25% deposit is required to place your order and the balance collected after scanning is complete.
Send us your photos
Carefully package your loose photos (read packaging tips on our Help page) and send your parcel via a recorded delivery service such as Royal Mail Signed For (Book Royal Mail) or use a trusted courier company such as DPD (Book DPD) or UPS (Book UPS). We will confirm receipt of your package.
We scan them
Your photos will be scanned, cropped, rotated and saved to digital format (600dpi resolution as standard). You will be emailed with confirmation of the total number of photos scanned and the balance will be collected via your original payment method.
You receive a download link
As soon as the scanning process is finished you will be emailed a link to download and enjoy your newly digitised photographs. Your photos will be stored on the cloud for 1 year and you can download (or share) them as many times as you like during that time.
We return your originals and digital images
Within a couple of working days your original photographs will be posted back to you along with any DVD(s), USB(s) or SD(s) that you have ordered.
You enjoy sharing with Family & Friends
This is the best part! Now you have your photos in a digital format you have so many possibilities. You can get them printed on to canvas, create a photo book, share with family, post to social media and so on…. Or maybe you just like the peace of mind knowing your precious memories are now safe.
Order Time
We generally scan orders and send you a download link within 5 working days of receiving your photos (excludes weekends & bank holidays). This can sometimes vary, particularly around holidays such as Christmas. Please check our turnaround time estimate at the bottom of the page.
Your originals and DVD/USB/SD(s) are normally dispatched within 2 working days after scanning has been completed (excludes weekends & bank holidays).
If you would like your photos scanned in time for a special occasion, we advise you to place your order as early as possible. In the event that you need some photos scanning at short notice, we offer an express service.
