Loose photographs are photos that are not in albums or mounted. They are individual photos that are contained in bundles or stacks. Please ensure your photos are free of blu-tack, sellotape, staples, paperclips etc.

You will not be charged for unscanned photos that are within the ‘TRY’ section or the ‘CANNOT’ section.
The premium 600dpi resolution we use to scan photographs is sufficient for most people. However, during the checkout process you have the option to upgrade to ultra-high 1200dpi (cost +50%) which has the following benefits:-
The following table compares 600dpi vs 1200dpi. Sizes are based on a 6×4″ print.
| 600dpi (Premium) | 1200dpi (Ultra-high) | |

We can organise your scanned photos into named folders for a small fee of £1 per folder. This is a great way to keep your photos neatly grouped and easy to navigate.
To request this service, simply select the option during checkout and group your photos into clearly labelled bundles. Please keep folder names brief – long descriptive titles will be shortened. The folder names are primarily to help keep things organised – you’ll have the opportunity to add more detailed descriptions later in your photo software if you wish.
For example, if you label a set of photos as ‘Majorca 1996’, we’ll create a folder with that name. If you don’t provide any titles, we can simply number the folders for you.
Please make sure your bundles are securely held together with envelopes, plastic bags, or elastic bands. Using loose slips of paper or card between bundles isn’t reliable, as these can easily shift during transit.
The total surcharge will be calculated after scanning and added to your final balance (for example, 10 folders would incur a £10 charge).
